I remember listening to Tennessee Ernie Ford and singing Sixteen Tons in my parents' car on long trips....that song has always stuck with me....great song.....i even tried it .....in Germany i think.....or maybe it was here....can't quite remember. At any rate......Hope all is well with everybody.
Watched the Showtime INXS story and with Robin Williams and watching the story and tragic end to Michael Hutchence has me thinking about suicide a lot lately. There was a time that i had thought about it for myself. It was an emotion that would come and go but was never really too far away. Haven't thought about it in about 7 months and maybe that's why the suicide of Robin Williams hit me so hard......cuz i know very well what they felt.....what they were thinking.....the steps and considerations you make to going forth in that decision. I heard a podcast with Marc Maron and he talked with Robin Williams about suicide a few years ago and Robin had said " i'm too much of a pussy to ever go through with it " ......that line was hauntingly familiar to me.....as i often quipped that .....and kind of believed it when i said it.....hearing him say it.....ran my blood cold......
i'm glad i'm here now.......now i don't wanna leave.....life sure is whimsical.......i'm glad you're here too......i'm really glad you are.
