Dreaming of Pharoh's Horses

Hey Everybody,

Well it appears that spring has sprung. This feels like the first week off i've had in quite some time. It worked out well because while playing basketball ten days ago....i came down on my nephew's foot and completely rolled my foot and on account of that have a grade 3 sprain which has left me fairly disabled. Just been starting to get into a good writing groove again so keep an eye out for some new new songs on Monday Morning Madness in the weeks to come. I'd like to thank all of those who have been purchasing Monday Morning Madness and my apologies about it being posted most weeks on Tuesday.  I always am away from my apartment on Sundays and Mondays so i might have to rename it to Tuesday Tortured Tunes or even Wednesdays Whimsical Works......kidding.....

Anyway, as some of you may know by now i'm expecting a little girl in late July, and besides my dreams about trains.....which i constantly have, i have been having baby dreams....and as terrifying as it is its also thrilling.....i'm feeling pretty out of my league when it comes to this....but i do love a challenge.  We are pretty sure on a name....but just cuz i am slightly superstitious i'm gonna wait before letting that cat out of the bag. My two jokes about having a baby and a girl at that....is one " the Apocalypse has begun" and the other.... " God's paying me back to my history with women ".......all in good fun of course.

Getting settled into my new apartment, which is great fun......There is talk of getting back to Greenbelt this year, which will be odd because its during Heather's birthday and we will have a few week old child at the time.....

Heather's show at Schuba's on March 16th was a huge success and i really loved just being able to play guitar again. When i first found a calling to music, i wanted to be a guitar player......the only reason i ended up a singer was the singers would never show up for rehearsal....so i kind of fell into it. What a joy it was to just be over on the side, playing songs, takin the occasional solo and singing a little back up vocals.....was really an amazing night , besides it being great for heather, it was a great cleansing of sorts for me.....getting back to the heart of what i love to do .....play music.....doesn't have to be about singing, songwriting, performing....ALL THE TIME....it was a night for my heart and my soul.......sometimes its not so bad to be right back where you started from......when the future seems uncertain, that leaves room for endless possibilities . The canvas becomes blank again, that's when we all are at our best......sometimes its good to tear apart the things you've built if those things aren't working....if those things have corrupted, if those things have grown covered in rust......build it up again.....better this time.

Had an amazing show in Waukesha.......and an amazing one in Libertyville......both really wonderful shows for me.....and i hope for the audience......the Gasthaus show really inspired me to take some more chances with future shows......so keep an eye out......i promise i won't be so predictable .....

Going to have a video of " Carry Your Cross" very soon......and i assure you it will be pretty amazing....as i've seen some of it already.

God Bless each and every one of you,

Spring has sprung.....lets all, in our own way......be born again, new , this season...
